  • 1 tbspolive oil or melted butter (15ml)
  • 1 tbsphoney or maple syrup (15ml)
  • Pinch of ground cinnamon
  • 4 ozBrie cheese, cut into small cubes (115 g)
  • 1/3 cupchopped walnuts, toasted (35 g)
  • 1/4 cupdried cranberries (30 g)
  • Fresh rosemary or thyme (optional garnish)
  • Extra honey for drizzling (optional)

Instructions

  1. Begin by preheating your oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C). Take the ripe pears and slice them in half lengthwise, carefully removing the core with a knife or spoon. Place the pear halves cut-side up in a small baking dish.
  2. Next, brush each pear half generously with olive oil or melted butter. Drizzle honey or maple syrup over the pears and finish with a pinch of ground cinnamon.
  3. Fill the hollows of each pear half with cubes of Brie cheese, topping them with toasted walnuts and dried cranberries.
  4. Place the baking dish in your preheated oven and allow the pears to bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes.
  5. Once ready, let them cool, garnish with fresh herbs, and drizzle with honey before serving.

Notes

Ensure your pears are perfectly ripe for the best texture; slightly firm pears may not soften properly during baking.
