- 4salmon fillets (skin-on)
- 1/4 cupbrown sugar
- 2 tablespoonssoy sauce
- 1 tablespoonfresh lemon juice
- 2cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoonfreshly cracked black pepper
- 1 tablespoonolive oil
- 1 teaspoonchopped fresh thyme or parsley (optional)
- 1 cupbaby potatoes or 1 lemon, quartered (optional for roasting)
Instructions
- Begin by whisking together the brown sugar, soy sauce, fresh lemon juice, minced garlic, and black pepper in a small bowl.
- Next, preheat your oven to 400°F if you’re baking the salmon. If you’re opting for the stovetop method, have a skillet ready over medium-high heat with olive oil.
- Gently pat your salmon fillets dry using paper towels. Once dried, place the salmon skin-side down on your baking tray or in the hot skillet.
- Brush a generous amount of the prepared glaze over the salmon fillets. Cook the salmon in the oven for approximately 12–15 minutes.
- In the last few minutes of cooking, use the reserved glaze to brush the salmon once more. Once cooked, remove the salmon from heat and garnish with fresh thyme or parsley.
