Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoonvegetable oil
  • ½yellow onion, diced
  • ½ teaspoonminced garlic
  • 1pound ground beef
  • ½ teaspoonWorcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoonseasoned salt
  • 1 tablespoonhamburger seasoning
  • 1medium jalapeno, seeded and sliced
  • 6slices thick-cut bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cupsharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cupcrispy fried onions
  • 1package (12-count) King’s Hawaiian rolls
  • 1recipe cowboy butter (without lemon juice)

Instructions

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C) and greasing your baking dish.
  2. In a spacious skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Toss in your diced yellow onion and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, and hamburger seasoning. Cook for approximately 8-10 minutes until nicely browned.
  4. Slice the King’s Hawaiian rolls horizontally. Place the bottom halves into your greased baking dish, drizzle with cowboy butter, and spread the beef mixture over the rolls.
  5. Layer on the sliced jalapenos, crumbled bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, and crispy fried onions. Place the tops of the rolls back on and brush with melted cowboy butter.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for about 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 3-5 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your delicious Cowboy Sliders!

Notes

Make sure to drain any excess fat after cooking the beef to prevent greasy sliders. If you prefer a milder flavor, remove the seeds from the jalapeno or use a milder pepper.
