  • 1/2 teaspoonbaking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoonsalt
  • 1/2 cupunsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cupgranulated sugar
  • 1large egg
  • 1 teaspoonvanilla extract
  • For the Filling:
  • 2 tablespoonsmelted butter
  • 1/4 cupgranulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoonsground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  2. Cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  3. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture until a soft dough forms.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, brush with melted butter, and sprinkle cinnamon-sugar over it.
  5. Roll the dough tightly from one end to another, slice into 1/2-inch rounds, and place on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until edges are golden brown. Cool on a rack.
