These pumpkin puff pastry twists are a delightful fall treat, perfect for any gathering.

  • 2 teaspoonswater
  • 4sheets puff pastry
  • 1 cupcanned plain pumpkin
  • 1/2 cupgranulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoonpumpkin pie spice
  • Coarse sugar, optional
  • 1 cuppowdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 1 tablespoonmilk (for glaze)
  • 1 teaspoonvanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, whisk the egg and water to create an egg wash.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine pumpkin, sugar, and pumpkin pie spice until uniform.
  4. Spread the pumpkin mixture on each sheet of puff pastry and roll them up.
  5. Slice the rolled pastry down the center, twist sections, and shape them.
  6. Place pastries on the baking sheet, brush with egg wash, and sprinkle with coarse sugar, if desired.
  7. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until golden brown and then drizzle with glaze.
