Delicious Comforting Banana Bread Cobbler Recipe
There’s something magical about a dish that combines nostalgia with comfort, and that’s exactly what you get with this delightful Comforting Banana Bread Cobbler.
Ingredients
- 113 gunsalted butter, melted
- 120 gall-purpose flour
- 200 ggranulated sugar
- 2 teaspoonsbaking powder
- 0.5 teaspoonsalt
- 240ml milk
- 1 teaspoonvanilla extract
- 3ripe bananas, sliced
- 100 glight brown sugar, packed
- 0.5 teaspoonground cinnamon
- Optional: 50 g chopped walnuts or pecans
- Optional: 85 g chocolate chips
Instructions
- Start your cobbler-making journey by preheating your oven to 190°C. Next, pour the melted butter into your baking dish, tilting it to evenly coat the bottom.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the milk and vanilla extract, whisking until the batter is uniform and smooth.
- Carefully pour the prepared batter over the melted butter in the baking dish. Do not stir; the magic happens as it bakes, with the batter spontaneously self-layering.
- In a separate small bowl, combine the brown sugar and ground cinnamon. Generously sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the bananas and batter.
- Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for approximately 35 to 45 minutes. Check for a golden-brown color on the edges.
- Once done, remove the cobbler from the oven and allow it to cool for 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
Notes
Ensure your bananas are overly ripe; the riper they are, the sweeter your cobbler will be. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
