Delicious Homemade Cherry Puff Turnovers Recipe

  • 2sheets puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 cupcherry pie filling, fresh or canned
  • 1large egg
  • 1 tablespoonwhole milk
  • 1 cuppowdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoonvanilla extract
  • 2to3tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (or 400°F).
  2. On a floured surface, roll out the puff pastry and divide it into squares.
  3. Fill each square with cherry pie filling and fold to seal.
  4. Press edges together and crimp with a fork.
  5. Whisk egg with milk for egg wash and brush over turnovers.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Prepare glaze and drizzle over baked turnovers before serving.
